4/4 (full size) Crafted in 1928,
#32

Handmade in 1928 by C.G. Stewart in Los Angeles, CA, this cello has a strong and focused voice with good responsiveness. Its voice leans towards the warm side yet it has a nice amount of bite when you ask for it. This is a super unique cello that has an interesting heritage: owned and played in the Los Angeles Philharmonic by a cellist who knew, and played along side of the maker, C.G. Stewart. C G Steward was not only an L A Phil cellist, but also an accomplished maker who built around 6-7 cellos a year, from the 1920's into the 1930s. This will be a good investment, as well as a good performing cello. Completely refurbished and professionally setup by Linda. Brand, new fingerboard and new neck reset! This cello is slightly slimmer overall with a normal body length and 'just right' string length. The recent neck and fingerboard work provides even more volume and response. A shop favorite looking for its next person to play with.

All cellos are setup or adjusted by Linda and played before shipped, guaranteed.
