This wonderful instrument will provide advanced and professional players with a range of colors to paint with as it has a complex yet malleable tone. The upper register on the A string sings sweetly while maintaining a focused sound that can easily cut through the combined sound of an orchestra. The middle register is warm, maintaining this quality even when pushed. The lower register is rich and has a bite to it that would allow the lowest registers to be heard clearly in a solo setting. Like a fine wine, this cello will only get better with age as the instrument settles and its tone develops further under the hand of a skilled player.
Typically known for his violas, this Andrzef Glodek cello with a 1-piece back has a beautifully blended sound, not dissimilar to his beautifully constructed violas. Workshop colleagues of Andrezej Swietlinski and Jan Szlachtowski (all students of the master luthier Jan Bobek).

Buying a Cello Online from Linda West Cellos
All of our cellos (except for those on consignment or mezzo-forte instruments) come with a 14-day trial period. Once you receive your new cello, play it for 2 weeks, and if it's not "the one", contact us to discuss a return or replacement. Shipping costs back to us are the buyer's responsibility. Please see our FAQs for complete details.
Most cellos will come with a case and a bow. The pernambuco bow choice will typically be an Arcos Brasil Nickel-mounted bow, value $760. The Carbon option for that same level cello will be something in the same price range as the nickel-mounted pernambuco. If you are shopping from a distance, Linda will select the most compatible bow for your cello by playing the instrument and trying out several bows. If your instrument says it comes with a brasilwood bow, we have several different bows to choose from, and they are typically priced under $200. The carbon option will be similarly priced. Again, we will hand-select the bow for you if you are shopping online, making sure we select the most compatible bow for your instrument. If you have questions about this please reach out to us. As for cases, most cellos will come with a standard hard case, which really depends on the availability. We often use Eastman CACL28 or CACL18 cases as our standard case. For more expensive instruments that are noted as coming with a lightweight hardcase, this also depends on what we have in stock, and what your chosen instrument will fit into. We usually are selecting from Gewa Air, Musilia, Otto Musica, Eastman or Century Strings cases in the $1,000 - $1,400 price range. We usually give you a couple options of case and color.
