Buttery across all registers, this cello is well suited for chamber music and orchestral settings. Despite its smaller size, volume is not sacrificed as it can hold its own against much bigger instruments, projecting well in the higher registers. Its tone is warm and round, allowing it to easily blend with other instruments. The older sound of this instrument is maintained across its entire register as it is very even and balanced.
Probably early 19th Century, this smaller, unlabeled cello reminds us of many French cellos. Its smaller body pattern is reminiscent of many English instruments, so we are not sure of its pedigree. Like many older instruments, this one has a very lush, nicely integrated tone. The body is a bit shorter than a normal full size at 29", but the string length is pretty normal at just over 27"
All cellos are setup or adjusted by Linda and played before shipped, guaranteed.
