Weight: 81.5g, Balance: 9 7/16"

Maker: V. Schaeffer

Defined by its chocolatey lows and sweet highs, this bow adds a lot of color to a cello's sound. When pushed, this bow is punchy, projecting well while still maintaining its colorful tone. Changes between demanding and delicate passages are made easy as the stick is fairly flexible, making it very responsive to ones playing. This bow bounces nicely as well, making spicatto in fast passages a breeze. This bow is ideal for warmer instruments in need of better projection while adding to the color and warmth of the cello.

Stamp: V. Schaeffer

Round stick, gold winding, gold fitted, pernambuco

Vanderson Schaeffer, son of Floriano Schaeffer decided to enter the family business of bow making, following in his father's footsteps. Schaeffer learned bow making techniques from his father and continued on to study briefly with Pierre Guillaume of Brussels. He currently works for the Brazilian firm Arcos Brasil as one of their top bow makers and is responsible for making many of their special edition bows and master copies.

*Pairs well with the 1790 Matthew Furber 4/4 Cello*
