Arcus M-Series bows are unique in how they can pull a fascinating, warm, and deep sound out of smaller violas. the C-string sounds dark and rich, and the A-strong loses much of its sharpness and shines rich and clear. The response is quick, and difficult bowings are easy to execute as finally everything is in perfect balance.
The elasticity of the stick is designed to match modern strings on violas of roughly 15" in size. Their tension and weight is lower than on the larger violas so the stick has to be a little more flexible too. The weight of the bows is similar to romantic violin bows, which provides unequalled ease of playing and unique comfort.

Our basic class-3 bows will already outperform pretty much
every other composite bow. The class-4 bows are a match for
very high quality wood bows. The finest wood bows we have ever
experienced in competition with an Arcus bow could sometimes
equal a class-5, but rarely a class-6 bow. The 7- to 9-category
bows pull a sound sweeter and more powerful than anything else
ever put to a string.
M-Series are available in 4-9 class.
